Good to know: The very best place to stay inside Zion National Park is the Zion Lodge. However, as it always is with the National Park lodges, it’s very popular, expensive, and the facilities are limited.
While in some National Parks it’s well worth paying more in order to stay inside the park, it’s not that important in Zion. Simply because there are so many other more affordable and easier to book lodging options right outside the park gates.
Staying in Springdale doesn’t make your visit any less convenient. Maybe quite the opposite because you have more hotels and restaurants to choose from. More choice means lower prices and more flexibility.
Furthermore, most hotels outside the park also have a pool, which can be a real life-saver in summer and a hot tub to relax in during the cooler months. Located right next to the Zion NP Visitor Center, this lodge has all the advantages of staying in Zion, coupled with the best facilities that the Zion Lodge doesn’t offer.
The surroundings are beautiful and you can walk straight into the park. Furthermore, there is free Wi-Fi available and the hotel has an outdoor pool and a hot tub. They even have a private beach next to the river and a beautiful picnic area.
This lodge offers big well-equipped suites for up to 5 people. On-site, you’ll find a coffee shop, a restaurant, a gift shop, and a mini-market.

Cliffrose Springdale, Curio Collection By Hilton is one of the most luxurious Springdale hotels. This historic lodge & spa has very modern rooms and is set in a beautiful location by Virgin River and bordering Zion National Park. It’s located just 0.6 miles (10 min walk) from the Zion NP Visitor Center.
With well-equipped rooms and suites for up to 8 people, this hotel is a great choice for big families looking for a more luxurious stay near Zion.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, secure private parking, and BBQ facilities. Their on-site restaurant Anthera is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and also offers room service. It’s located a little bit further away from the park, but still just 15 minutes walking distance (0.8 miles) from the Zion National Park Visitor Center. Springdale Shuttle stops right at the hotel as well.
This hotel offers rooms, suites, and even a 2-bedroom house – plenty of choice for couples and families for up to 6 people. All the rooms are spacious and equipped with coffee and tea making facilities. Suites also have a well-equipped kitchenette and a microwave.
Free Wi-Fi is included and the hotel also has a pool, a hot tub, and an excellent spa. There is also an excellent restaurant – The Spotted Dog – on-site. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even if you are not staying here, you should stop by at this restaurant. Customer reviews are some of the best in town!

Mid-range hotels near Zion:
Driftwood Lodge is one of the absolute best price-quality-location hotels to stay near Zion National Park. Situated just 2 miles from the park entrance, this beautifully landscaped, mid-range hotel gives you the best of both worlds. It’s slightly off the beaten track and affords breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and canyons, yet it’s still within easy reach of Springdale’s restaurants and shops.
The shuttle to the park stops right opposite the hotel, dropping you at the gates in just 15 minutes.
Driftwood Lodge doesn’t have its own restaurant but is attached to the King’s Landing restaurant, which many guests say serves the best burgers they’ve ever tasted! The King’s Landing is only open for lunch and dinner, but the hotel provides discount vouchers for local restaurants and advises you of the best spots to choose for a good breakfast.
There are a variety of modern, spacious rooms available, sleeping up to 4 people. Each room has coffee-making facilities, a microwave and a small fridge. Many rooms have balconies from which you can enjoy the breathtaking natural views.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott is one of the more expensive options among the mid-range hotels near Zion National Park. It’s perfect for those looking for more affordable luxury. Location is good, but you’ll likely want to take a shuttle to Zion (1.8miles – 40 minutes walking distance).
The hotel is not only surrounded by stunning scenery but is beautiful on the inside too. From the thoughtful architecture and gorgeous interior design to the high ceilings and welcoming lounge with the most amazing views – every detail is well though-off.
They have spacious rooms and 2-queen suites with an extra sofa bed that can accommodate up to 5 people. All rooms have either a partial or full view of either Eagle’s Craig or the canyon, whilst the larger queen rooms also have either a private patio or balcony.
A plentiful and varied breakfast is included in the cost of your room. Freshly baked cookies are served each evening and warm beverages are available throughout the day.

The hotel is surrounded by red rock cliffs and is just 1.8 miles from the Zion National Park. It’s on the Springdale shuttle route.
Its location-price-quality ratio makes it one of the most popular mid-range hotels in Springdale.
Excellent for families, this hotel offers a range of rooms and suites sleeping up to 6. There are even ‘kid suites’ that include bunk beds and even a Wii console! Amenities include a work desk, tea and coffee making facilities, and a microwave. Every room has a TV with access to premium film channels. Bumbleberry Inn is a very popular mid-range 3-star hotel in the center of Springdale. It’s located 1.3 miles, 30 min walking distance from the entrance to Zion National Park. Despite its very central location, it’s very quiet and peaceful. The shuttle stops right outside.
This is a no-thrills hotel, but it offers good value and breakfast is included. The breakfasts at the Bumbleberry Inn are particularly popular – you are issued vouchers to use at the on-site Porter’s Smokehouse restaurant, where you are able to choose from anything on the menu. Depending on the time of year, the restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. Be sure to try some of the Inn’s famous Bumbleberry Pie!
Motel-style rooms sleep up to 4 people and all include a private balcony or a terrace with a great view.
There is lots of room to relax outside, either on the sun terrace or the large, lawned area (which is also a great spot for the kids to run around and kick a ball). Children will also love visiting the goats, horses, and other farm animals that live at the back of the property. Hampton Inn & Suites Springdale
Hampton Inn & Suites is an excellent price-quality accommodation in Springdale that has it all: great location, good facilities, free Wi-Fi, hot breakfast, a nice pool area, and very competitive rates.
Located close to the park entrance in the heart of Springdale, this 2-star hotel offers a range of spacious rooms and suites sleeping up to 4. All rooms have microwaves and small fridges.
One of the most popular aspects of a stay in this hotel is the complimentary hot breakfast buffet, which includes fresh fruit, smoothies, oatmeal, omelets, and waffles. It’s served from the lobby with its 360° view of the stunning surroundings! Located about a mile from the Zion Visitor Center, this 3-star hotel has such great views that they could even rival those in the park itself!
The shuttle stops just near the entrance, but you can also walk to the park. It’s also within comfortable walking distance of some of Springdale’s most popular restaurants.
The hotel has free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and coin-operated laundry. There is also a seasonal pool and a hot tub. However, unlike some of the other resorts, the hot tub at La Quinta is closed during the winter months.

Quality Inn Springdale at Zion Park is a 3-star hotel that offers great value, with an excellent location just half a mile from the park entrance. From all the lower-budget Zion hotels, this one is the closest to the park entrance. If you don’t want to walk 15 minutes, you can also take a shuttle.
Ideal for families visiting Zion on a budget, the Quality Inn has family suites sleeping up to 6. Some rooms also have patios and there is a small seasonal outdoor pool and sundeck, plus a playground and picnic area.
A deluxe continental breakfast is included in the cost of your room. In addition, there are lots of great restaurants nearby, with a particularly good Mexican restaurant right next door!

Best Western Plus Zion Canyon Inn & Suites
Best Western Plus Zion Canyon Inn & Suites is one of the best-rated lower budget hotels in Springdale. It’s a bright and modern hotel 3-star hotel that offers sensational views in all directions. Its location is very good too, within walking distance to Zion Park and lots of restaurants and shops. The shuttle stops right outside as well.
This is a great hotel for families and groups, with large family rooms available. There is a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, plus fire pits where you can relax, toast marshmallows and reflect on your day. There is also a fitness center, in case you have any energy left after a day’s hiking!
Customer service at this hotel is excellent. A varied and generous hot buffet breakfast is served each morning and free tea and coffee is available throughout the day.

Lower budget lodging near Zion National Park:
Quality Inn & Suites Montclair
Quality Inn & Suites Montclair is one of the best-selling hotels in Springdale. The reason is simple – good location, very nice rooms and suites, good facilities including a pool, and very affordable rates that furthermore include an excellent American buffet-style breakfast.
Situated in a quiet location but with easy access to shops and restaurants, this 3-star hotel is 1 mile from the entrance to Zion Park. There are some lovely mountain views from the back of the hotel and the shuttle stops right outside.
There are both king and queen size rooms available sleeping up to 4, some with a fridge and microwave. Other amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub, laundry facilities and several picnic areas.

Zion Canyon Lodge
Zion Canyon Lodge is a motel-style modern accommodation that offers some of the best price-quality ratio among the more budget-friendly hotels near Zion. This 2-star hotel is quite new but has already received hundreds of great reviews from visitors.
With awesome views in every direction, the Zion Canyon Lodge has an ideal location in the center of town and just 1.4 miles from Zion National Park entrance. The shuttle stop is nearby and you can also walk to the park in about half an hour. It’s also within walking distance of Springdale’s restaurants and shops.
Rooms are very competitively priced. Family rooms have a small kitchenette that includes a full-size refrigerator and a well-equipped kitchen. Some rooms also have a terrace.
A complimentary, buffet-style breakfast is included. In good weather you can enjoy it on the open-air balcony, surrounded by the beauty of the majestic mountain peaks.
Free Wi-Fi is available and the hotel is pet-friendly. However, this is the only hotel featured in this selection that has no pool or hot tub.
