Good to know: The very best place to stay inside Zion National Park is the Zion Lodge. However, as it always is with the National Park lodges, it’s almost always sold out, is expensive, and the facilities are limited.
While in some National Parks, it’s well worth paying more in order to stay inside the park, it’s not that important in Zion. Simply because there are so many other more affordable and easier-to-book lodging options right outside the park gates.
Staying in Springdale doesn’t make your visit any less convenient. Maybe quite the opposite because you have more hotels and restaurants to choose from. More choice means lower prices and more flexibility.
Furthermore, most hotels outside the park also have a pool, which can be a real lifesaver in summer, and a hot tub to relax in during the cooler months. Flanigan’s Resort & Spa
Flanigan’s Resort & Spa is somewhat comparable to the above-mentioned luxury lodging options in terms of price and facilities. It’s also the most popular one of the three. It’s located a little bit further away from the park, but still just 15 minutes walking distance (0.8 miles) from the Zion National Park Visitor Center. Springdale Shuttle stops right at the hotel as well.
This hotel offers rooms, suites, and even a 2-bedroom house – plenty of choice for couples and families for up to 6 people. All the rooms are spacious and equipped with coffee- and tea-making facilities. Suites also have a well-equipped kitchenette and a microwave.

Driftwood Lodge
Driftwood Lodge is one of the absolute best price-quality-location hotels to stay near Zion National Park. Situated just 2 miles from the park entrance, this beautifully landscaped, mid-range hotel gives you the best of both worlds. It’s slightly off the beaten track and affords breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and canyons, yet it’s still within easy reach of Springdale’s restaurants and shops.
The shuttle to the park stops right opposite the hotel, dropping you at the gates in just 15 minutes.
Driftwood Lodge doesn’t have its own restaurant but is attached to the King’s Landing restaurant, which many guests say serves the best burgers they’ve ever tasted! The King’s Landing is only open for lunch and dinner, but the hotel provides discount vouchers for local restaurants and advises you of the best spots to choose for a good breakfast.

The hotel is not only surrounded by stunning scenery but is beautiful on the inside too. From the thoughtful architecture and gorgeous interior design to the high ceilings and welcoming lounge with the most amazing views – every detail is well thought-off.

Bumbleberry Inn is a very popular mid-range 3-star hotel in the center of Springdale. It’s located 1.3 miles, 30 minutes walking distance from the entrance to Zion National Park. Despite its very central location, it’s very quiet and peaceful. The shuttle stops right outside.
This is a no-thrills hotel, but it offers good value and breakfast is included. The breakfasts at the Bumbleberry Inn are particularly popular – you are issued vouchers to use at the on-site Porter’s Smokehouse restaurant, where you are able to choose from anything on the menu. Depending on the time of year, the restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. Be sure to try some of the Inn’s famous Bumbleberry Pie!
Motel-style rooms sleep up to 4 people and all include a private balcony or a terrace with a great view.
There is lots of room to relax outside, either on the sun terrace or the large, lawned area (which is also a great spot for the kids to run around and kick a ball). Children will also love visiting the goats, horses, and other farm animals that live at the back of the property. Montclair Inn & Suites

Situated in a quiet location but with easy access to shops and restaurants, this 3-star hotel is 1 mile from the entrance to Zion Park. There are some lovely mountain views from the back of the hotel and the shuttle stops right outside.

Zion Canyon Lodge
Zion Canyon Lodge is a motel-style modern accommodation that offers some of the best price-quality ratio among the more budget-friendly hotels near Zion. This 2-star hotel is quite new but has already received hundreds of great reviews from visitors.
With awesome views in every direction, the Zion Canyon Lodge has an ideal location in the center of town and just 1.4 miles from Zion National Park entrance. Totally agree with Cable Mountain Lodge being on the top of the list. I have stayed here and it is an amazing place to call home. Located near the brewery, the grocery store and you can walk over to catch the first shuttle into the canyon in the morning. The location does not get any better than this.
